Porn again?
Milf, Orgasm, BBC, BBW, Interracial, Fetishes, humiliation, BDSM?
Does any of these ‘keywords’ ring a bell? Weird topic for a Christian right? Well No! someone “in the church” must compassionately but objectively address this and I believe it has been given to me to discuss on it. Like you perhaps, I have seen one too many pornographic contents and lived some of its outcomes. Here is what I believe God through his word is saying about it especially in times of seclusion like this where we could be subject to our vices. But let’s start by describing porn by comparing it to a scriptural narrative.

Ezekiel 23:18- 21 (NET) When she lustfully exposed her nakedness, I was disgusted with her, just as I had been disgusted with her sister. Yet she increased her prostitution, remembering the days of her youth when she engaged in prostitution in the land of Egypt. She lusted after their genitals — they were as large as those of donkeys and their seminal emission was as strong as that of horses. You longed for the obscene conduct of your youth when the Egyptians fondled your nipples and squeezed your young breasts.
Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,…
As defined by vocabulary.com, Lasciviousness “describes a person’s behaviour that is driven by thoughts of sex”. This definition correlates strongly with the very consequence of pornography which is to foster these lustful thoughts. Remember, thoughts drive our lives.
Proverbs 23:7a For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:…
If you ever feel sexually aroused you are not a sinner o, you are perfectly normal. You are sexually healthy. God Himself created sex to be an art and act of reproduction and a tool to foster intimacy between “Man and His Female Wife”. God did not create porn. The Devil did (Satan, by the way, has built alternatives to what God had already made perfect and this is what we mean by perversion). Sex on display is nothing new: it existed in the times of Ezekiel 593+ BC (as narrated in Ezekiel 23:1–21). But God has never been pleased with sexual perversion. It was meant to be holy (something done in secret between married people).
Some secular citations on the adverse consequences of porn

- Perry (2017), didn’t only conduct research on marital quality but on marital stability of couples who saw porn. This means partners became more selfish and grew more insatiable in their sexual desires and thus got tired of their partners and they started to have extramarital affairs. No psychologically sane believer would appreciate being cheated on!
- Laurie et al (2015), cited Feminists like Andrea Dworkin who had argued that “pornography contributes to the violence against women both in production and in its consumption”. Laurie (2015) also suggested that the pornography industry has incited rape in today’s society. Many of us don’t even know that some of these “sex models” are traded on the black market for mindless pleasures.
The Devil’s aim through porn:
Proverbs 23:7a (KJV) For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:
The devil is after the mind (seat of productivity) of a man. He knows that we are governed by our thoughts so if he can tweak our sexual urges, he can control us because his main aim is to steal the knowledge of our identity in righteousness, to kill our peace and to destroy any trace of joy (John 10:10, Rom 14:17). We need to understand that this ancient being called the Devil, who is at least a billion years old, is a behaviourist. If he can get a (wo)man to regularly think about illicit sex, then they cannot raise a godly home (this is how some dysfunctional families are born) and even less, participate in the things of God. Porn is just one of Devil’s tools of puppetry.
The devil is also a political strategist on sexual affairs in that you can be a Christian (the ruling divine party) and still struggle with sexual immorality (corruption). Many believers are struggling with porn today without any hope of breaking free.
It is possible to be free in the spirit but bound in the soul. Lazarus, though raised from the dead; was still bound by the shameful robes of death.
There are four things you can do to be free from pornography:
- Hebrews 4:14–16 (KJV) Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not a high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Let us, therefore, come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
- Philippians 4:8 (KJV) Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
- Job 31:1 (NLT) “I made a covenant with my eyes not to look with lust upon a young woman. As a believer, you have been enabled from within to decide what you want to happen in your life. You are no longer a slave to sin you have been made free from it and its native parodies.
- If you find yourself watching it again, don’t allow yourself to be bound by guilt else you will keep nurturing its hold over you. Even as you see it, confess this scripture below over and over. It worked for me and a ton of other people. You will notice that as you say this scripture constantly, you will start to believe it and as you believe it, you will begin to live out its consequence as it transforms your soul.
Romans 8:1–2 (KJV) There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. I am free indeed. Sin is beneath me! Glory to God!
Keep on saying it, don’t stop saying it. Even when you don’t feel like watching porn, keep confessing the word of God!
