Restless Hustle

Let’s talk briefly but prophetically about the system of Egypt. According to scripture, It is a system of oppression and slavery where men trade their souls for food. It is a place where sight is taken and fleeting ambition is given. It is a place where revelation is an abomination. It is a place where healthy hearts become darkened and are alas deformed. It is disheartening that many Christians have allowed themselves to be oppressed by the devil and his system. This written admonition is a subtle call to purpose.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Many believers have resolutions, dreams, aspirations but never seem to get to that “promised land”. Yes, they are saved from Sin but they fail to realize (mostly because of ignorance and complacency) that they have been translated into a new kingdom (Zion). They still order their lives as though they were never saved in the first place. You hear Christians say faithless kinds of stuff like: “hustle hard o”, “hustle go pay one day”, “money or nothing”. Now, God through apostle Paul said “He that does not work should not eat” However, our focus is seeking the establishment of the kingdom of God through our work and letting God do the increasing of our finances. Please note, God does give the power to get wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18) whether it is a nine-to-five job or you’re an entrepreneur, social worker or a minister of the gospel, God does give the power to make wealth without restless hustle.
Psalms 127:1–2 (NKJV) Unless the LORD builds the house, They labour in vain who build it; Unless the LORD guards the city, The watchman stays awake in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, To sit up late, To eat the bread of sorrows; For so He gives His beloved sleep.
God wants to show you that wealth is akin to a Christian but He wants to deal with your covetousness, greed, selfishness, violence etc. He wants to give you purpose. He wants you to also have a healthy work ethic not gunning after Ponzi schemes. Hear this, what you do not go through due process to get, you won’t have sufficient power to keep just ask the lottery winners. A critical mass of lottery winners lose most of their money — it is not absolute but holds truth (this statistic is restricted to the US and Canada — a rather small but significant sample size). God is not interested in making you wealthy through Ponzi schemes or other dubious means of robbing others with their ignorant consent. God wants you wealthy trust me! You can make critical business decisions on your knees. God can tell you where to invest your money. I am a witness!
Psalms 35:27 Let them shout for joy and be glad, Who favour my righteous cause; And let them say continually, “Let the LORD be magnified, Who has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant.”
Matthew 6:31–33 (NKJV) “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ “For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
As a Christian, the moment you begin to make everything about you, you may just be a hairsbreadth from selling your soul for the sake of “hustle”. We need to understand that God loves us, He cares for us and will never let us down. Conversely, we must groom ourselves in learning about Him. When we do, birthing His promises will be less of a struggle. This kingdom we are in is one in which everything is gotten in rest. The only labour is actually getting into that rest which is essentially allowing yourself to be transformed into the person of Christ whilst living on earth. This can be achieved by knowing Gods will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding through an ardent study of the bible and fellowship with God and the saints. This is a small price to pay compared to lobbying for pennies. Enough with the restless hustle!
